Autographed postcard photograph of the legendary dancer and choreographer as the Peruvian Dancer in his own “Gaite Parisienne”, New York, July, 1968. Massine initially danced with Diaghilev’s Ballets Russe, as his new discovery, taking the place of Nijinsky and Fokine. Taught by Cecchetti, he became one of the leading dancers of the 20th Century and is considered arguably to be a more creative choreographer than Balanchine. Priced as such due to the tape stains. |
