Autographed and inscribed formal postcard photograph of the bass-baritone in Cyrillic, 19 February, 1925. Mosjoukhine was one of the foremost singing actors of his day and his Mephistopheles and Boris were considered second only to Chaliapin during the same period. The postcard is an interesting example of the photographer’s art, as you can see the outside of the negative at the edges. |
