Autographed Camuzzi of La Scala postcard photograph of the legendary Italian tenor as Otello, his signature role, Rome, 1936. Merli was one of Italy’s top flight tenors from the time of his stage debut at La Scala in 1916 to his retirement in 1948. He sung at La Scala virtually every season until 1942. He also sung at Covent Garden 1926-1930 and the MET for a season, 1931-32.
