Autographed and inscribed first edition of the soprano’s autobiography, Interrupted Melody; Appleton, Century, Crofts, New York, 1949. She has signed on the first free end paper. The 307 page book including an index describes her life, fight with debilitating polio and her return to the Metropolitan Opera. The book has been reprinted numerous times, as recently as this year and also inspired the 1955 film of the same name. A rare book in exceptional condition complete with the original dust jacket.
