FRIEDRICH BRODERSON – BARITONE |
|
Rare autographed postcard of the German baritone as the evil Spielmann in Humperdink’s “Königskinder.” The baritone made his stage debut in 1900 at Nuremburg and made it to the Munich Hofoper in 1903. He created the role of Pantelone in Wolf-Ferrari’s “La Donne Curiose” the same year, followed by the role of Count Gil in the same composer’s “The Segretto di Suzanne” in 1909. He also created the role of Simone in Korngold’s “Violanta” in 1917. In 1913, the baritone sung a variety of roles at Covent Garden, including Faninal in the British Premier of “Der Rosenkavalier.” |
