The greatest living choreographer and arguably the greatest of the 20th Century signs a photograph rehearsing “Spartacus” with Vladimir Vasiliev. He staged the first “definitive” version for the Bolshoi in 1968. Grigorovich was the chief choreographer of the Bolshoi from 1964 for 30 years and also ran the theatre. This photograph is dedicted to Sheldon Gold of ICM and at this time, President of Hurok Concerts. He managed the Bolshoi American tours. |
