Autographed and inscribed 7” x 9” Constantine photograph of the American dancer in mid-leap. Danielian studied with Mordkin, Fokine, Dolin and Tudor. He initially danced with Mordkin’s company, moving on to Ballet Theatre two years later. He then joined Colonel de Basil’s “Original Ballets Russe” in 1941, moving to the Ballets Russe de Monte Carlo in 1943. He stayed with them until 1957 appearing as a gunest artist with the company until 1961. Danielian was the first American dancer to execute a “Entrechat huit.” Later he toured as a guest artist with a vaiety of major companies, choreographed and taught. |
