Autographed 8” x 10” photograph of the German heldentenor as Siegmund in the 1976 Chereau Ring at Bayreuth. Initially a rock & roll singer, Hofmann switched to opera and gave the opera world much hope that a true heldentenor had arrived on the scene. After a short but meteoric career, Hofmann was forced to retire after he discovered he had Parkinson’s disease. Needless to say, his autographs for a living singer are rather rare. |
