Autographed postcard of the reigning Don Giovanni at the end of the 19th Century, Berlin, 1902. Beloved throughout Europe from La Scala, to the Berlin Hofoper and Covent Garden, D’Andrade sung the champagne aria faster than any of his colleagues, recording it several times at break neck speed. This framed postcard photograph ( 8” x 10”) is of D’Andrade in his signature role with a glass of champagne in hand! For good measure, he was also loved as Rigoletto, Figaro and Tell among his many roles.
